Weleda AB
Weleda, Sweden was founded in 1958 and has since then produced, imported and distributed anthroposophical remedies throughout Sweden. In 1995 a newly built production facility with GMP-standards was brought into use in Järna. The main volume of remedies are prescribed by medical doctors, many of them connected to the anthroposophical hospital, Vidarkliniken, in Järna. Anthroposophical remedies are specifically mentioned in the Swedish law and the Ministry of Health (not the regulatory authorities) have granted the marketing authorisation for the right to produce and to sell the anthroposophical remedies.
