Following the debate: homeopathy and anthroposophic medicine In the EU, quality, safety and compliance with manufacturing requirements of homeopathic medicinal products are guaranteed, well-established and well-balanced in pharmaceutical law. Nevertheless, some journalists are ready to criticise homeopathy at every opportunity, demonstrating their own lack of understanding of this system of medicine and the regulation of its products. Stakeholders across Europe are working hard to provide high quality information on these established and popular systems of medicine. A stronger common narrative is emerging supported by high levels of public awareness and use of these products and very high levels of patient satisfaction. World Health Organisation - new report on traditional and complementary medicine The use of traditional and complementary medicine has grown around the world over the past twenty years and 88% of all World Health Organisation Member States acknowledge its use. ECHAMP’s new President argues in favour of a new outlook for the sector for homeopathic and anthroposophic medicinal products ECHAMP today welcomes a new President, David Reckeweg-Lecompte, unanimously elected by ECHAMP’s Board of management. David is Managing Director at Dr. Reckeweg GmbH in Germany and has been a Board member of ECHAMP since 2016. He takes over from Dr. Gesine Klein who has led the organisation for six years. 01 Jun 2019

A spotlight on India India has been described as the ‘super hub’ of homeopathy with one of the most advanced ‘gold standard’ regulatory systems in the world. 150 million people use homeopathy there in their daily healthcare, delivered by around 300,000 medical practitioners in primary healthcare settings, including hospitals. Following the debate: homeopathy and anthroposophic medicine How is it that this comparatively small and emerging sector is able to fill the headlines so regularly?
