Safety

Injectables in homeopathy and anthroposophic medicineLong-term experience demonstrates that these medicines have a high safety profile. The frequency of adverse reactions to homeopathic and anthroposophic medicinal products is very low and serious adverse reactions are very rarely reported.

Risks from homeopathic medicinal products are minimal because the concentration of active principles is generally low and a lot of substances processed have a low intrinsic toxicity (e.g. salt). Nevertheless, safety must be constantly ensured (e.g. monitoring the content of potentially toxic substances).

Licensed homeopathic and anthroposophic medicines with authorised therapeutic indications are monitored through standard Pharmacovigilance (surveillance of product safety) procedures. This includes the assessment of reports on the safety of ingredients.
