Homeopathy for a healthier Europe – Because it works for me!
The second EU Homeopathy Day was celebrated in Brussels on 2 April 2009. Hosted by Marian Harkin MEP in the European Parliament, it focused on the important role that homeopathy plays in promoting health in individual patients, and how it can contribute to European health care. It was attended by an audience of some 100 European politicians and officials, national and regional representatives in Brussels and representatives of the patients’, practitioners’, and doctors’ associations and of industry.

Advocacy work at national level
ECHAMP’s expert workshop on 27 April in Prague considered the importance of good communication at national level to achieve an appropriate and well-functioning EU legal and regulatory environment for homeopathic and anthroposophic medicinal products. Representatives of four national manufacturers’ associations gave advice on effective methods of negotiation with the national legal and regulatory authorities.

ECHAMP Membership Assembly
At this year’s Membership Assembly on 28 April in Prague, ECHAMP said a first good-bye to its President of three years, Max Daege. It is pleased to announce the appointment of a new President, Nand De Herdt, who retires from his post as General Secretary to take up his new responsibilities.
