Evidence Based Homeopathy:
more than results of double blind studies

The 63rd world congress of the Liga Medicorum Homeopathica Internationalis (LMHI) is being hosted by Unio Homeopathica Belgica in the Kursaal of Ostend from 20-25 May 2008. Entitled ‘Evidence Based Homeopathy: more than results of double blind studies’, the two headlines of the congress are ‘Evidence based homeopathy’ and ‘Verification of homeopathic symptoms’.

A diverse international scientific programme will be presented simultaneously in nine rooms. The congress objectives are to improve homeopathy, to increase international collaboration, to stimulate exchange of homeopathic data worldwide and to define how to verify homeopathic symptoms.

There will be 246 speakers, and the programme will include lectures and discussions on ethical and health-economic issues, clinical studies and provings, e-repertorizing, e-Materia Medica and databases, pharmacology and pharmaceutical matters, dentistry and gynaecology, micro-immunotherapy and biotherapy. Specific workshops will deal as well with homeopathy and the food chain, and homeopathy and humanitarian actions. Some workshops will deal specifically with the major poster presentations at the congress.
