New Museum of Homeopathy in Rome, Italy

Jun 17, 2013

The first Italian museum of homeopathy opens today, the 17th June,  in Rome. It will hold many private archives from important Italian homeopaths, a rich collection of writings on homeopathy in many languages, including ancient Italian editions, and what it claims as the world’s largest collection of homeopathic medicines kits, as well as other memorabilia and documents concerning homeopathy from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.

The museum has been promoted by the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage. Its inauguration will be commemorated by Italian Mail with a special stamp. It will promote exhibitions, meetings, seminars, scientific and didactic publications as aims to act as a reference point for homeopathy in Italy and Europe. It is believed to be the only museum of its kind, besides the museum of the Robert Bosch Institute for History of Medicine at Stuttgart.
