Health made in Germany: Directory on herbal, homeopathic & anthroposophic medicines

Sep 07, 2017

A new directory, ‘Company Directory - Herbal, homeopathic & anthroposophic medicines – Find your German partner’ has been published by ‘Health Made in Germany,’ the export initiative for the German healthcare industry of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.

The directory provides an introduction to Germany’s special therapeutic disciplines, phytotherapy, homeopathy and anthroposophic medicine, and their medicinal products. It explains the German market for these products and the ‘eight reasons to choose German herbal, homeopathic and anthroposophic medicines.’ Individual chapters include background on regulatory requirements and the quality and safety standards associated with these medicines. It includes an alphabetised directory of portraits of 39 companies specialising in herbal, homeopathic and anthroposophic medicines, in an easy-to use table, with information about their products, services and contact details.

In the introduction, Marion Lükemann, Director of Health Made in Germany, writes, “Germany is an established world leader in developing, testing and producing these medicines. The directory [..will..] provide a first point of orientation in the country’s herbal, homeopathic and anthroposophic medicines market… ..allow you to quickly find products and services of interest to your business and ..provide the tools necessary for you to establish contact with the appropriate partners in your own medical area of activity.”

One of the main purposes of the directory is to provide information on what differentiates German companies specialised in this field from their counterparts elsewhere. Available in English and tailor-made to meet the needs of international readers, the guide will be distributed at trade shows in Germany and abroad.

This is the first time such a guide has been compiled for this sector of the healthcare industry. ECHAMP welcomes the additional profile this new publication will bring to the growing sector of homeopathic and anthroposophic medicinal products in Germany and internationally.
