ECHAMP celebrates its 15th Anniversary

On 14 April, ECHAMP celebrated its 15th Anniversary with a reception in the European Parliament kindly hosted by Marian Harkin MEP.

Mrs Harkin is a long-standing supporter of ECHAMP’s work and the sector for homeopathic and anthroposophic medicinal products; she congratulated ECHAMP on its work to date and confirmed her continued commitment to the sector, including her support to ameliorate the availability of homeopathic and anthroposophic medicinal products, in line with patient demand and patient choice.

Dr Ton Nicolai, spokesperson of EUROCAM, the European network for complementary medicine, also congratulated ECHAMP for its growth and progress over the years and confirmed his commitment to continuing to find a joint voice on many issues of common interest.

ECHAMP President, Dr Gesine Klein, explained how EU regulation is the biggest barrier to the availability of homeopathic and anthroposophic medicinal products. ECHAMP will continue its work for the next 15 years towards suitable regulation which does justice to patient choice.
