29 September 2014 - Vytenis Andriukaitis, current Lithuanian health minister, is the nominated Commissioner-designate for Health and Food Safety; however, the pharmaceutical portfolio may move to Elżbieta Bieńkowska, Polish Commissioner-designate for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs.
